Walking Dead compendium one by By Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, Cliff Rathburn
What would be the worst thing to happen after being shot on the job? Waking up to a world full of ZOMBIES. This is the walking dead compendium one. A comic series, based on this idea, starts off following the officer Rick, as he sees the world after an accident. The first few chapters, illustrator his initial take on the world until he meets up with a group of survivors, who include his wife, and other people who tried to make it to the safe haven they thought was Atlanta.
The blood and gore of the book is well illustrated, and thing run along fluidly during and action scenes. How ever that’s not what makes this series good, it’s the character development as they try to survive, in day-to-day living. Having to pick up camp and move every once in a while, they gain and lose members in the group, until the thrilling conclusion of part one. This is well worth reading, and done with much detail. The reason I personally picked this book up was because of the show that recently started on ABC, this is also a show that i definitely suggest to watch.
